Nandrolone Phenylpropionate or NPP for short is an Anabolic Steroid which has received a lot of attention lately, it is basically a short acting version of Deca. Users however report that with NPP there is less water retention than with Deca and it doesn’t “shut you down” as hard. There are many benefits to using NPP over Deca, however the one disadvantage is the injection frequency due to its shorter half life. NPP should be injected every 2 days to achieve stable blood levels.
The side effects of this steroid will be similar to that of Deca, although users do report less side effects with the Phenylpropionate version. Side effects such as Gynecomastia can occur but unlike other steroids which can cause Gynecomastia due to Estrogen, Deca and NPP cause this side effect due to Progesterone, for this reason an anti estrogen such as Nolvadex wont be effective. Drugs such as Pramipexole are effective at reducing the risk of Gynecomastia when using NPP or Deca.
Dosage and Cycling
For beginners a dosage of 100mg EOD (every other day) is a good start and more more advanced users who have used Deca a few times at larger dosages usually take between 150 to 200mg EOD or even more which I would not advise. Cycle length usually lasts between 8 and 12 weeks.
NPP can be used in both cutting or bulking cycles. Many people refer to it as a mild version of Trenbolone. For bulking cycles its usually taken along with Testosterone Enanthate or Cypionate and an oral Steroid such as Dianabol.
NPP is available from many different underground labs around the world. You will usually find it in 10ml vials at a strength of 100 to 150mg/ml. Prices vary depending on your location, supplier and the quality. Expect to pay R400 to R600 for a vial.
